Welcome to planDisney, Helena! I hear you're planning a trip to Disneyland Resort this summer- that is Music To My Ears!
Speaking of music, entertainment is slowly coming back to both theme parks. The Hyperion Theater at Disney California Adventure Park showcased abridged Broadway musicals based on the films Aladdin and Frozen and is rumored to reopen later this year, but likely not in time for your trip. But I'm happy to report that
Tale of the Lion King, a previous fan-favorite show from California Adventure, will be moving to the Fantasyland Theater stage on May 28th. Also, after a two-year hiatus, live storytelling shows have recently returned to the Royal Theatre at Disneyland Park's Fantasy Faire with 20-minute versions of Beauty and the Beast and Tangled. Check your
Disneyland Mobile app once you're in the parks for the most up-to-date
Entertainment Schedule.
But what most guests are really excited about is the return of Disneyland Park's adored nighttime spectacular,
Fantasmic! The Rivers of America will be blazing with pyrotechnics once again starting May 28th. Since its debut in 1992,
Fantasmic! has performed nearly 11,000 shows; if you've never seen this good vs. evil story starring Mickey as the Sorcerer's Apprentice, then I highly recommend it! Consider splurging on a
Fantasmic! Dining Package, which comes with a reserved viewing area and a 3-course meal at River Belle Terrace.
I hope this helps spotlight a few fun experiences for your trip, Helena! If there's anything else you need, remember we're all ears!
