We live in Alaska...is there a cruise that departs from Alaska?

Welcome aboard, Leah! I'm happy that you have found the Moms Panel to help with planning a Disney Cruise!

I must say that I am a bit jealous of the beautiful setting in which you must live! I have not sailed with Disney to Alaska myself yet, but you notice I said "yet"! I can't wait to book an amazing Alaskan cruise in the next couple of years!

While the Disney Alaskan cruises do not depart from Alaska, next summer's sailings are set to depart from Vancouver. Guests will embark the Disney Wonder in Vancouver and set on on what is sure to be one very magical seven night sailing to Alaska. Cruising through the scenic Tracy Arm, making ports in Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan, and also including two other days at sea, this cruise is a very unique and exciting sailing.

Add onto that all of the Port Adventures that are available and Alaskan specific activities onboard, and you'll have such a great cruise. In fact, my fellow Disney Cruise Mom, Nancy, just returned from her Alaskan sailing and had the chance to interview the Wonder's Cruise Director, Jimmy. Check out her Alaskan cruise interview on the Disney Parks Blog.

Please let us know if we can help with any other questions as you continue to plan, Leah!
