Hi Michael! Welcome to planDisney!
What a loving brother you must be to treat your little sister to such a magical vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm sure no matter what happens she's going to think the entire trip is perfect just because she's spending it with you. I wonder if you're heading to
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party since you'll be visiting in October. While these nights of eerie enchantment, which include
Mickey's Boo-To-You Halloween Parade and trick-or-treating around
Magic Kingdom, add some extra-special moments to your vacation I know you'll be super busy even without adding this special event to your itinerary.
If you're a Florida resident you're correct that you'll need to show
proof of your Florida Residency before entering the Theme Parks with your Florida resident ticket. With some forms of identification, you're able to verify your residence online and then bypass Guest Relations and just head to the Park turnstiles. If you're not able to verify online you're certainly able to verify your resident status at the Parks before you enter for the first time. No matter which way you purchased your tickets, or how you verified your residency, your little sister (or any Guests under the age of 18) do not need to show any identification to enter the Parks.
Now that we've covered that business let's talk about the fun! I bet your little sister would absolutely love riding some favorite attractions with her big bro! Since she's at the perfect age to start experiencing some thrills I'd definitely suggest checking out the "wildest ride in the wilderness" on
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, taking a spin through the galaxy on
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, and testing her scream on
Slinky Dog Dash! She's going to be thrilled to be with you and even more thrilled to be having such a wonderful time.
Enjoy every moment!
