Our little ones generally have a bedtime before the fireworks, but I just love them and hate to miss them. We are staying at Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort with a theme park view next trip. What is the best floor to request to view th

    Hi Jessica!

My practically perfect Disney day at the Magic Kingdom always ends with a view of Wishes nighttime spectacular. There is something about the words to the soundtrack, “Star light, star bright, first star I see tonight…” while I stand next to my children, that seems to bring the magic of Disney right into my heart. As much as I love the show, sometimes my little ones don’t quite make it that late! I have carried or wheeled many a slumbering babe out of the Magic Kingdom late at night.

With a theme park view at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, you’ll be able to have the best of both worlds. You’ll be able to keep your little ones on their regular schedule, while mommy can still enjoy the show. You’ll even be happy to know that the soundtrack for Wishes is broadcast on the television in your room, so you can enjoy the entire magical experience! For the very best view, I would recommend requesting an upper floor, as high as you can get. Also, since Disney’s Bay Lake Tower is curved, I think the portion of the curve that more directly faces the Magic Kingdom has a slightly better view. Depending on the room type you have booked, this would include even numbered rooms that end in -16, -18, -20, and -22. So if you were lucky enough to get a Deluxe Studio on the 12th floor, you would be in room 8218. One floor down on the 11th floor it would be room 8118.

Please do remember that room requests are simply requests, and while Disney’s fabulous Cast Members will do their very best, they cannot guarantee you a specific floor or room. One of the best features of Disney’s Bay Lake Tower, is that there are so many wonderful places to watch Wishes. We have also enjoyed good views from the Sky Bridge to Disney’s Contemporary Resort.

I hope this helps with your planning, Jessica! Please come back and let me know if you have any additional questions I can help you with.
