I have a little one that is still new to the whole potty training thing. Is there child size facilities in the parks or should I prepare for some interesting bathroom breaks.

There are child-sized toilets in the baby care centers at each park. Your challenge with using these is that there is only one baby care center at each park. I know from experience that during the potty training phase, nature can't always wait for you to walk for 10 minutes to the right bathroom.

Another bathroom challenge I've heard from many parents of younger children is the issue of self-flushing toilets. MANY of the bathrooms in the theme parks and restaurants have a motion-activated self-flushing mechanism. With a toddler's tiny, wiggly body on the seat, the flush mechanisms are sometimes overzealous and flush while the child is still on the toilet. This has been known to terrify some kids more than any trip on a rollercoaster would. A way to overcome this would be to travel with a roll of masking or painter's tape and place it lightly over the motion sensor before your child sits down. Thus, no unexpected flushing. Just remember to discard the tape when you're done.

But back to the potty training ...

During that phase of our WDW vacations, we traveled with a portable folding potty seat that fit on top of a regular toilet seat. These are widely available at baby care stores and websites. I just kept the folding potty seat in my backpack and used it in the closest available restroom whenever my girls needed a pit stop.
