Going a little nutty;hope you all can help. Free DP for fall, I would have to give up free PH&WP-my current promotion.I did the math & I think it would be worth it. We arrive on 9/29 tho.Is there a way to still get FDP & do u think its worth it

    Shannon,

We all get a little nutty about Walt Disney World at one time or another!

So a lot of what you should do is about more than just the dollars and cents of it. The budget impact is the most important point, and it seems like you have done the math to know which works out better for you. But other considerations are really based on how your family travels.

For these examples, I am assuming that costs are fairly close to each other. But if the cost difference is a whopper, then all bets are off and you should go for your bigger savings.

For my family, which has younger children that are light eaters, I would stick to the Park Hopper and Water Park Fun and More option package. Why? The obvious thing is that it is because they never seem to eat enough to make the dining plan worth as much as it might otherwise be for a teen or an adult. And since they are now at the ages (almost 5 and 7) that they really can take advantage of park hopping and the water parks, those options seem to have more value.

For a family with a lot of adults, or adults and teens that are decent eaters, it is a toss up. They are more likely to take advantage of the dining value, but they are also more apt to be able to enjoy water parks and hopping around from theme park to theme park. I think in this case I would go with the dining plan offer (if in fact the cost is lower) and then add EITHER the Park Hopper or Water Park Fun and More option to my tickets out-of-pocket.

So without knowing more about your traveling group, I would guess that with the cost savings you should move to the Dining Plan Promotion. Use the savings to add just those ticket options that you are sure to use.

Write me back with more details if you are still unsure!

    Have a magical vacation!
