Chris from FL Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

My wife & I will be in Disney this month. We want to plan a family trip for Christmas, who do we contact to help plan our trip?

Ho, ho, ho, and welcome to planDisney, Chris!

This is a practically perfect time to begin planning your merry visit to Walt Disney World Resort. If there’s any place in the world to get in the Christmas spirit, it’s at the Disney Parks (even if sometimes it’s warm enough to wear shorts in December). I am more than happy to put you on the right track toward your festive vacation.

The holidays at Walt Disney World Resort, from October until December, are among the more popular times of year to visit. However, with you starting this early, you should still have solid options for Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservations, theme park tickets, or a Disney Vacation Package (which gives you a stay plus theme park tickets and the ability to add a dining plan).

My family loves to do-it-ourselves when planning our vacations, so I like to head over to the Walt Disney World Resort website and find the right hotel that suits our needs. We’re Annual Passholders, so the theme park tickets are taken care of. But if you need theme park tickets, either consider bundling it with a hotel room (a Disney Vacation Package) or buy your tickets in the My Disney Experience App or online in the Parks & Tickets section. If you’ll be at Walt Disney World Resort this month, you can even visit Guest Relations at the theme parks or the Ticket Center at Disney Springs to speak to a friendly Cast Member who can provide helpful suggestions.

If you’d rather have a travel agent book your vacation, use an online search engine and find an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. These planners are unaffiliated with Walt Disney World; however, they have a great track record of helping Guests make plans with minimal effort on your part.

AN EXTRA GEM: I highly recommend following the Disney Parks Blog so that you are among the first to know when tickets go on sale for nighttime events like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney Jollywood Nights. Parties like these are a fantastic way to experience the Disney Parks with shorter queues and special treats.

Chris, if you need more suggestions for your jolly holiday at The Most Magical Place on Earth, feel free to ask us here at planDisney. I’m all ears!

    Magic always,
