Welcome to planDisney, Gary! Thanks so much for coming to us with your question today. The
holiday season is my favorite time of year at Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm pleased to hear that you're planning a vacation that will span this week through Thanksgiving. There's so much to see and do to get you in the holiday spirit, so let's chat about
Disney Springs and what you can expect to find while you're there!
Gary, while there is no official list of which stores will remain open at Disney Springs on Thanksgiving, most of them will keep their doors open for you to shop all day. All of the official Disney stores, including
World of Disney,
Disney's Days of Christmas, and
Tren-D, will definitely be open so you can count on being able to shop for your vacation souvenirs on that day. You'll also find most restaurants will be open, including
Morimoto Asia and, my favorite,
The BOATHOUSE! Some will even be serving a special Thanksgiving dinner so be sure to check out the menus when you arrive.
Disney Springs is also a great place to find some holiday joy because the
Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll presented by AdventHealth is in full swing! There are elaborately-themed Christmas trees all over Disney Springs, and a fun scavenger hunt that you can do to find all of them. Pick up a complimentary map highlighting the location of each sparkling Christmas tree, and then once you've found them all you can bring your map back to one of the designated locations for a special surprise.
Have a magical day, Gary!
