Could we have a list on items not allowed in the park? We will have our daughter with us to celebrate her first birthday so we will have to bring a few items for her. Also is there anything I should be aware of for security or entering the parks?

    Hi Desirae!

The Walt Disney World Resort is my absolute favorite place to celebrate birthdays, and it is always a good plan to be prepared!  There is a list of all of the personal items that are not permitted inside the theme parks.  Generally, the list includes items that you might expect to be prohibited like weapons and skateboards.  That being said, there are also items on the prohibited items list that you might not expect to be prohibited like wrapped gifts and "selfie" sticks.  All gifts must be able to be unwrapped for inspection.  All of the items that are on the list are not permitted inside the theme parks to ensure the safety of all of the guests at the Walt Disney World Resort.  Generally, the rule is to not bring anything that could be potentially harmful or disruptive.

Make sure to also review the Walt Disney World Resort park rules and regulations.  If you are familiar with what is and what is not permitted in the parks, you can avoid any delays or disruptions to your plans.  You will probably have to go through security before you enter the parks, so be aware that any clothing, bags, or other items that you have with you may be subject to screening or security checks.  I hope your daughter has an absolutely magical first birthday!

Have a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!
