Is there a list of Disney World restaurants, stores, etc that accept AARP?

    Hi there, Terri!

Many years ago, I remember my mother-in-law asking a Walt Disney World cast member if there were senior citizen discounts on theme park tickets or resort hotels. The cast member quickly replied, "Everyone's a kid again at Walt Disney World!" It was a polite way to say no, there were no senior citizen discounts.

I can tell you now the same thing that cast member said to my mother-in-law all those years ago. Everyone's a kid again at Walt Disney World, so, unfortunately, there are no AARP discounts available at Walt Disney World restaurants or stores.

However. . . there are a few places that are not Disney owned that you will find on Disney property. This is something you'll definitely have to check through AARP, but Landry's restaurants usually give an AARP discount. At Walt Disney World you'll find a few Landry's owned restaurants, including Rainforest Cafe at Disney's Animal KingdomT-REX Restaurant at Disney Springs, and Yak and Yeti at Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park.

I recommend checking with your AARP benefits guide to see what other area restaurants or shops might offer a discount. I know there are others near Walt Disney World, but I can't say for sure which benefits are available to you through AARP.

Have a happy time planning your trip!
