Welcome to planDisney, Jane! With so many incredible attractions across the Disneyland Resort, it makes perfect sense to want to plan your visit with a little extra strategy. I’m happy to help!
The
official Disneyland website is a great starting point, offering a full list of attractions at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure . Even better, you can filter by categories such as attraction type, guest interest, and recommended age range. Each attraction has its own dedicated page where you can explore more details, including location within the park, height requirements, and current operating hours.
All of this information is also conveniently available in the
Disneyland app. Plus, that’s where you can book Lightning Lane return times using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass or purchase a
Lightning Lane Single Pass for select attractions.
Let’s start with Lightning Lane Multi Pass. This handy service allows you to schedule return times for some of the most popular attractions at both parks. You can add it in advance when you buy your theme park tickets or as a same-day purchase through the app. Currently, there are 23 attractions eligible for Multi Pass, including favorites like Space Mountain, Incredicoaster, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!
After redeeming your first Lightning Lane selection, you can make another right away, or after two hours, whichever comes first. You can also modify your return time through the app if your plans shift. Just a heads-up: you can only use Lightning Lane entry once per attraction per day with Multi Pass, so choose wisely! Here’s a Q-Tip for you: set a reminder on your phone or smartwatch for when your next booking window opens. It’s a practically perfect way to stay one step ahead!
Now, let’s talk about the Lightning Lane Single Pass. This option is available for two of the most in-demand experiences: Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disneyland and Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure. These are purchased individually and allow you to select the next available arrival window. Each ride requires its own pass and can only be used once per day. I recommend using these around midday, when standby lines tend to be longest, especially on sunny Southern California afternoons.
Jane, I hope this helps you feel more confident and excited about your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort! If you have any more questions, we’d be thrilled to help you again here at planDisney.
Wishing you a magical adventure,
David
