Hello there, Karen! Welcome to planDisney. It's almost time to get the suitcases out of the attic and start gathering up the items on your packing list. Woohoo!
We get lots of questions similar to yours from guests every week. You just finished up purchasing your Disneyland Resort tickets when, oops, you realized one of them has the wrong name!
Theme park tickets are non-transferable, so, unfortunately, you can't edit the name yourself through the Disneyland website or
Disneyland Mobile app. Since your tickets are unused, the easiest way to fix them is to call
Disneyland Ticketing at (714) 781-4636. You can also wait until you arrive and have it changed at any Disneyland Resort Main Entrance Ticket Booth.
Disneyland does not typically check IDs for most tickets (unless they are Southern California Resident Tickets or a Disney Military Promotional Ticket). Instead, when guests enter the Disneyland turnstiles for the first time, a Cast Member will take their picture, which is when the tickets are officially assigned. If you have multi-day tickets, your picture will come up for verification purposes the next time you enter. Consequently, making a name change on a ticket is not essential but is recommended.
I hope this helps, Karen! If you are a Disneyland first-timer, I highly recommend attending at least one of the nighttime shows or fireworks. My favorites are
World of Color and the
Main Street Electrical Parade, especially since they are unique to the West Coast!
Take care,
Eean
