We want to link our never used magic bands from our previous cancelled reservation (under my husband's account) to our new reservation (my account). We have called multiple times and cannot get through to talk to anyone. Thank you!

    Hi there, Tina!

Welcome back to planDisney! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question for us today.

If our favorite Little Mermaid had a MagicBand as part of her gadgets and gizmos collection, I bet her collection would be complete! MagicBands not only make for absolutely adorable accessories, but they also make your Walt Disney World Resort trip feel so much more convenient! With your MagicBand, you’ll be able to open up your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room door, tap in to enter the theme parks (along with a valid theme park ticket and Disney Park Pass reservation linked), make charges back to your Disney hotel room, and more!

Tina, I’m happy to help you set up your MagicBand! If you purchased your MagicBands online through a previous reservation, they are most likely already linked to each Guest and ready for use. To check to see if the MagicBand is already linked to your accounts, you will want to log into your My Disney Experience account and hover over the top right corner of the screen to select “My MagicBands & Cards.” Then, scroll down until you see “Manage MagicBands or Cards.” On this screen, you will find your party’s names and see if the 12 digit code on the back of your MagicBand matches the one showing on the screen. If it does, your MagicBands are already linked and you're all set!

In case your MagicBands are not linked, you will want to scroll down on the same page until you see “Link a MagicBand” and select “Link.” Once you’ve chosen “MagicBand” for the option to link, follow the steps to enter the code on the back of your MagicBands. After confirmation, you should be good to go!

We are so very excited to welcome you to the magic. However, as a reminder, do be sure you’ve made your Disney Park Pass reservations. In order to enter the theme parks, Guests need both theme park tickets and a Park Pass reservation.

    Have an enchanting time, Tina!
