Walt Disney World trip coming up later this year. How nice that part of it is through your company and that your family gets to join you for the other part. Let's talk about how to navigate with two reservations.
Your two reservations aren't able to be combined into one, but all is not lost. I do have some good news for you. Because I don't know all the details of your plans, the information I'm providing is under the assumption that both of your reservations are at a
Disney Resort hotel and that your check-out day on your first reservation is the same as your check-in day on your second reservation. If that's true, then you'll be able to purchase
Lightning Lane Passes and make Lighting Lane selections for your entire trip, both reservations included, beginning 7 days before your first check-in date.
Dining reservations are handled a little differently, however. You'll be able to make dining reservations beginning 60 days prior to your check in dates for each reservation. This means you'll have two dates on which your dining reservation window opens. While this may not be the ideal situation you were hoping for, it does give you two chances to score those coveted reservations. As always, if you don't find what you're looking for initially, check back frequently as other people change their plans. I've had great success with checking the day before I want a particular reservation and even the day of up until 2 hours prior to my desired dining time. That's because cancellations can only be made up until then to avoid a fee. Many restaurants also offer a walk up list available in the
My Disney Experience Mobile App if you're in the nearby area. I've had luck with that, too.
