Welcome to planDisney, Dale! I’m so glad you stopped by with your question. Planning a Disneyland Resort visit is always thrilling, and getting everything linked in the
Disneyland app ahead of time is one of the best ways to keep your vacation smooth, relaxed, and magical right from the moment you enter the park. As the designated planner in my own family, I know exactly how much peace of mind comes from having everything organized before you even step onto Main Street.
Once you’ve purchased your
theme park tickets, linking them (and your
Lightning Lane Multi Pass access, if you added it during purchase) is thankfully very easy. If you bought your tickets directly from Disney while signed into your
MyDisney account, your tickets should already appear automatically. To double-check, head to the Disneyland website, log in, and select the “My Disneyland” link. You’ll see your tickets listed there if everything is connected. If the tickets were purchased through an authorized third-party seller, you’ll just need to enter each ticket’s barcode number manually to link them.
You can also view and manage everything directly in the Disneyland app. Open the app, tap the hamburger icon in the bottom right corner, then select “My Tickets and Passes.” From there, tap the plus symbol in the top right corner and choose “Link Tickets and Passes.” You’ll have the option to type in the barcode numbers or use your phone’s camera to quickly scan them. Once linked, your tickets will appear instantly in the app (and if you purchased Lightning Lane Multi Pass with your tickets, you’ll be all set to start making return times as soon as you scan into the park).
Here’s a Q-Tip, Dale, to help you get the most out of Lightning Lane Multi Pass. You’re able to hold more than one Lightning Lane reservation at a time. After you book a return time, the app will let you book another either after you redeem your current one or once two hours have passed (whichever comes first). For example, if you lock in a Matterhorn Bobsleds return time at 9:00 a.m. for late afternoon, you’re welcome to make another selection around 11:00 a.m. for a different attraction like Haunted Mansion Holiday. A helpful trick is to set a small reminder alarm on your phone or smartwatch, so you never miss the moment when you’re eligible to book your next return time.
Dale, I hope this helps you feel ready and confident as you prepare for your Disneyland adventure. If you have any other questions or want more tips for making the most of your time, we’d love to see you again at planDisney.
Wishing you a pixie-dusted trip!
David
