Welcome to planDisney, Jerry! I’m so glad you stopped by with this question. As the designated planner in my own family, I understand how important it is to get everything linked and ready to go before a Disney day. With a larger group like yours, a little preparation makes things run extra smoothly.
At this time, the
Disneyland app allows up to ten tickets to be linked to a single
MyDisney account. Since your group is fourteen, you’ll simply divide the tickets across at least two accounts. The process is straightforward: open the Disneyland app, tap the three-line menu in the bottom-right corner, select Tickets & Passes, and then choose Link Tickets & Passes. You’ll have the option to scan each ticket’s barcode or manually enter the Ticket ID number (whichever is easier). Once each account links its portion of the tickets, you’ll be all set to secure park reservations and begin planning your magical day.
Here’s one helpful detail to keep in mind: when all tickets are linked only to one device, that person needs to be present when entering the park and when redeeming
Lightning Lane return times. To keep things more flexible, I recommend that each member of the group download the Disneyland app and link their own ticket as well. (Tickets can be linked to multiple accounts at the same time, which is very convenient.) This way, anyone in your group can scan in, check wait times, view entertainment schedules, or place a mobile food order when snack cravings strike.
Since you’re visiting with a larger group, I’d love to offer a few attractions that are especially fun to experience together. Filling an entire boat on Pirates of the Caribbean is a classic big-group Disneyland memory. Star Tours – The Adventures Continue is another great one, especially when someone in your group gets selected as the Rebel Spy. And for a big-laugh thrill moment, Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! is perfect. If you’re looking for something slower-paced (or a chance to regroup), the Disneyland Railroad is a lovely way to enjoy the park together from a comfortable seat.
Jerry, if any other planning questions come up along the way, please feel free to visit us again at planDisney. We’re always happy to help make your Disney day as smooth and magical as possible.
Wishing you and your crew a wonderful visit,
David
