Hello Alisa! Welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you’re getting ready to use your
Premier Passes at the Disneyland Resort. By using Lightning Lanes as a tool during a well-planned Disney day, you can skip standby queues and enjoy even more time exploring your favorite attractions. Let’s make sure you’re set up for success.
After purchasing, you won’t see the Premier Pass listed with your theme park tickets in the
Disneyland app. Instead, once you’ve entered the park, open the app and head to “Today’s Plans.” There, you’ll find a feature called “My Day.” This screen is where your Premier Pass becomes visible. It will list which Lightning Lane attractions are included, as well as the ones you’ve already redeemed. As long as your husband’s ticket is linked to his Disneyland app, his Premier Pass will appear under “My Day” automatically with no extra linking required. Remember: unlike the Lightning Lane Multi Pass, there’s no need to reserve return times in advance! Simply head to the attraction’s Lightning Lane entrance and scan in.
You may also want to explore the “Tip Board,” which is located right next to “My Day” in the app. The Tip Board displays current wait times for all attractions, indicates whether Lightning Lane access is available, and even shows details for dining. It’s especially handy for checking
mobile order availability or
walk-up list status at restaurants throughout the parks.
Here’s another helpful tip: plan to arrive early. Being among the first Guests in the parks means you’ll enjoy shorter standby waits for attractions not included in Lightning Lane, like Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree or the Mad Tea Party. It’s a great way to add a few extra spins, laughs, and thrills before the day gets into full swing.
Alisa, with your Premier Passes you’ll be in excellent shape to maximize your time at Disneyland. And if more questions come up, please know that we at planDisney are always here, ready to sprinkle a little pixie dust on your planning.
Wishing you both a magical day of adventure,
David
