    Link a minor

Hi Paul, and thanks for visiting us at planDisney! With your vacation right around the corner, I’d be happy help make sure everyone in your crew is showing up on your Family & Friends List. That way, you’ll be ready to link everyone to their theme park tickets and Disney resort hotel reservations, as well as buy Lightning Lane Passes, if you were planning to get them for your group.

The process is a little different depending on whether you’re trying to link someone to your Family & Friends List who doesn’t have a profile, or someone who does, but it’s managed by one of your family members or friends.

If the child doesn’t currently have a profile, you’ll need to add them as a guest you manage. On your Family & Friends List, you’ll see two categories of profiles. At the top, there are the Guests You Manage, which are profiles you’ve created for kids who are too young to have their own MyDisney account and anyone else who decided they didn’t want one. For instance, I manage profiles for my nephew and my parents. You can create a managed profile by clicking the Add a Guest button towards the top right of your Family & Friends List (on the Disney World website) and then selecting Create a New Guest.

If you’re trying to add a child who is already managed by someone else’s MyDisney account, you’ll need to follow these steps.

First, you and the person who manages their profile need to be connected on each other’s Family & Friends List, if you aren’t already. You can do that by going back to that Add a Guest button and filling out the fields under Search for a Guest on the next page.

Then that person needs to find your name on their Family & Friends List, click Edit Settings next to your name, and then select the Connect My Managed Guests button. Check the box next to the kid’s name and then click Send Invite. You’ll get an email inviting you to connect with that child’s profile.

If you have any issues, I’d recommend giving the App and MagicBand Support phone number a call so a Cast Member can help troubleshoot.

I hope you have an amazing time at Disney World next week! And if you have any other questions, you’re always welcome back at planDisney.
