how do I link my magic bands and were purchased earlier

    Howdy, Pam!

I'm always happy to rustle up an answer for a fellow Texan, so thanks for boot-scooting by planDisney. In just a few weeks, you'll be sailing on a voyage to Arendelle, taking a safari around the African savanna, helping save the galaxy from Evil Emperor Zurg, and fighting alongside The Resistance against The First Order. I bet you can't wait!

It sounds like you, too, are a fan of MagicBands, and why wouldn't you be? You can use them to link your Disney PhotoPass pictures, enter the theme parks, unlock the door to your Resort hotel room, and even charge purchases to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel room during your stay. The conveniences they offer make them essential for any Disney day. They are pretty much my favorite park accessory when I'm at Walt Disney World Resort, so I don't leave home without packing a few to coordinate with my outfits and show off my favorite characters.

I'm so glad you asked this question! Linking a MagicBand is super easy to do and can be done either in your My Disney Experience account on a browser or in your My Disney Experience App.

    • From a browser: Hover your mouse over where it says "My Disney Experience" and select "My MagicBand and Cards" from the options that appear. This should take you to a screen that shows all the MagicBands associated with your account. Scroll down the bottom of the page and click "Link" under where it says "Link a MagicBand." The next screen will have a menu of icons of what you can link, so click on the MagicBand option. Input the ID number from the back of the MagicBand you wish to link into the box on the screen (there's a graphic that shows you where to find this number). Once you click "Next," you will be able to assign the MagicBand to a person from your Family & Friends list. Confirm that everything is correct on the next screen, and that's it!
    • In the app: Click the waffle menu (the three lines in the bottom right corner) and select "My Profile." Select "MagicBands & Cards" from the list of options, then choose the blue box that say "Link a MagicBand or Card." You can either scan the ID number from the back of the MagicBand or manually enter it on the screen, then click "Submit." Again, you will be able to choose which individual to assign it to from your Family & Friends list and confirm that everything is correct. It's really that simple!
Did you know that MagicBands will be upgrading to MagicBand+ this year? I mean, how could MagicBands get any better than they already are? Not only will MagicBand+ have all of the same features of its predecessor, but it will have some exciting new features as well.

I hope this information proves helpful, but if you find yourself in need of further assistance, I would be happy to lasso more answers for you. Enjoy every memorable moment on your vacation to The Most Magical Place on Earth, Pam!

    Happy trails to you,
    Alyssa
