Hey there Jenna! We're so excited that you've stopped by planDisney to get help with linking your MagicBands to a My Disney Experience account.
When using the My Disney Experience Website, log in and then hover over "My Disney Experience" in the top right corner and click "My MagicBands and Cards". Scroll down and click "Link a MagicBand.". Once there, enter the 12-digit ID number from the back of your MagicBand. Finally, click "Submit" and assign it to a guest in your party.
When using the
My Disney Experience Mobile App, tap the three horizontal lines (☰) in the bottom right corner and then select "MagicBands and More". Next, choose "Link Your MagicBand or Card" and scan the MagicBand barcode with your phone’s camera or enter the 12-digit number manually. Last you'll assign it to a guest in your Friends & Family list.
Once a MagicBand has been linked to a profile, it is permanently assigned to that guest and cannot be transferred to another person. It will remain linked to that profile for the lifetime of the MagicBand and can be used for theme park entry,
Lightning Lane selections,
resort room access, and purchases (if staying at a Disney Resort hotel with charging privileges enabled).
Even if you upgrade to a new MagicBand or
MagicBand+, your previously linked bands will still work as long as the battery lasts. If you ever need to check which MagicBands are active under your profile, you can do so in the My Disney Experience app under "MagicBands and More."
If a MagicBand is lost or no longer in use, you can deactivate it within your account or visit Guest Relations at any Walt Disney World theme park for assistance.
