How do I link guests in my friends and family to my hotel reservation?

Hiya Edie! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks for visiting us with your question. Your wonderful Disney World vacation will be here soon... how exciting! October is a terrific time to visit, and I hope you get a chance to enjoy EPCOT's International Food & Wine Festival while you are there. Check out this Festival Foodie Guide the Disney Parks Blog published, to pick out a few favorites before you arrive!

Linking guests in My Family & Friends so that you can share and see each other's plans, and adding a guest to your Disney hotel reservation, are two slightly different things... so let's walk through both.

It sounds like you already have guests linked in your My Family & Friends list. That's perfect! This is a great way to make advance dining reservations or book Lightning Lane passes together. You can decide whether your family and friends see just the Disney plans that you share together, or whether they can see all of your Disney reservations. If you want them to be able to see all of your plans including your hotel reservation - select the guest name, and adjust the setting to "Allow [guest name] to view and modify all of your plans".

If you are wanting to actually add a guest from your Family & Friends list to your Disney Resort hotel reservation, you should be able to do this yourself online. Head to My Disney Experience - My Plans, find your resort reservation details, and look for the "Change Reservation" button. Here you'll find the option to make changes to your travel party, and add additional guests (up to the room's maximum capacity). Please be aware that the base rate includes 2 adults, ages 18 and over. So if you are adding an additional adult beyond that, it may increase your nightly rate slightly.

My friend recently discovered if you are needing to change a guest on a Disney hotel room only reservation, you will need to do this over the phone by calling Disney Resort Reservations. So if you run into any issues with adding additional guests to your room, I recommend calling and a Cast Member will be happy to help.

Did you know that in 2025 all Disney Resort guests will receive free admission to a Disney Water Park on arrival day? This will include all registered guests included on your hotel reservation. So it's good to get those plans and details squared away if you plan to take advantage of this splashtastic perk!

Edie, I hope this helps. If you have additional questions or anything else I can assist with, please feel free to message me at planDisney. I'll be wishing upon a star that you have an amazing time at Disney World!

    See ya' real soon,
    Tami
