How do you link a Disney Gift Card to a MagicBand? I'm paying for most of my trip with gift cards and want to know if I can link the gift cards and MagicBands in advance.

    Hey Kristen!

Disney Gift Cards are a great way to save for and pay for a Disney Parks vacation!

Unfortunately, you are not able to link Disney Gift Cards to your MagicBands at this time. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't purchase the Disney Gift Cards. My family links a regular credit card to our MagicBands, then we simply go to the resort main desk and pay off the balance with our Disney Gift Cards so our credit card does not get charged.

A great advantage of buying Disney Gift Cards to pay for your vacation is the numerous retail locations which offer rewards for purchasing gift cards. For example, several times a year my local grocery store gives four times the amount of gift cards purchases toward fuel rewards. This mean if I buy $500 in Disney Gift Cards I get 2,000 fuel points which equates to $2 per gallon off gas. During these 'four times' sales I stock up on Disney Gift Cards.

I hope this helps with your planning. If you have any more questions Disney Gift Cards or MagicBands or any other aspect of your Walt Disney World vacation please come back and see me.

Wishing you a *MAGICAL* vacation and a pixie-dusted day!
