How do I link my Disney cruise and disneyworld at hotel reservations so I can get transport to and from the port.

Hey there Tiffany, and welcome aboard planDisney!

I just got off the Disney Wish yesterday and for this vacation, we decided to take advantage of the opportunity to book Ground Transportation for our Pre- and Post-Cruise stays at Walt Disney World Resort Hotels! Here's how I was able to link my reservations on both ends for a seamless experience getting to and from our Port of Departure:

    • I simply called a Disney Cruise Line representative directly over the phone, who was able to look up our Walt Disney World Resort reservations with the confirmation numbers we provided and add Ground Transportation for both our arrival and departure dates on either end of our sailing.
    • If you're working with a Travel Agent like our personal adventure coordinator extraordinaire, they'll be able to liaise with Disney Cruise Line directly to book your Ground Transportation; many folks and families like to take advantage of this as a way to have peace of mind that their reservations will all be linked and managed for the most effortless experience.
    • As we checked in for our Disney Resort Hotel stay before the cruise, we let the Cast Member at the front desk know that we were expecting to depart for the port and they provided us with the information on what to expect and where to meet on the morning of our departure from the hotel. (If you've already confirmed your Ground Transportation booking as you complete the Online Check-In process ahead of your cruise, you may also receive an email like we did during our stay that includes this information.)
    • While you're on board, be sure to take note of the identifying letters "PR" printed on your Key to the World Card that let the Cast Members at the terminal know that you've booked Ground Transportation; as we debarked yesterday they currently did not require a confirmation of our hotel reservation and divided up the guests between each bus based on where their Disney Resort hotel was located.
There are a lot of guests who choose to book a Land and Sea vacation together as a way of extending that journey as you make that transition between the ocean and the shore, and I can personally attest as to my current situation how comfortable and stress-free the entire experience has been! I hope that this was helpful to you Tiffany; be sure to stop by planDisney again for any more tips or tricks ahead of your next Disney Cruise Line voyage.

Here's to safe journeys on the road and at sea on all of your Disney adventuring next year!
