    Can you link a credit card to your magic band if you are not staying at a Disney resort?

    Hi Jennifer, and welcome to planDisney!  We are glad you brought your question to us today.

    MagicBands are the niftiest vacation accessories!  They can be used to access theme park admission and link Disney PhotoPass photos to your My Disney Experience account.  With so many colors and patterns and new styles arriving all the time, I have amassed quite the MagicBand collection myself!

    Guests who are staying at a Disney Resort Hotel may use their MagicBands to unlock the door to their hotel room and also charge purchases to their room account.  The account balance is then charged to the credit card provided at check-in.  At this time, Guests without a Disney Resort Hotel stay may not charge purchases using their MagicBand.

    All Guests are welcome to use other contactless payment methods such as Apple Pay or Google Pay.  All Guests can also use a stored credit card with Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering.  To add a credit card to your My Disney Experience account, go to "My Profile" and then "Payment Method".  I love the convenience of Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering!  My family and I will browse menus while waiting in line for an attraction, build our order, and then when we are ready to eat we submit our order.  So easy!
