Ahoy, Lori!
Packing for a cruise is tricky enough, let alone not really knowing the dress "expectations". But, never fear, I am here to help!
In my cruising experience, on a 7-Night cruise, passengers get a little more "into" the optional formal and semi-formal nights. On these nights, you will see your fellow cruisers in everything from tuxedos and ball gowns (like my husband and I) to polo shirts with khakis and sundresses. Disney Cruise Line does have an official recommendation regarding dress on a 7-Night itinerary
here.
Your cruise will also most definitely have a Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party and Pirate Night. So, be sure to pack your very best (or worst) pirate garb! This is a great night to take photos, especially with Captain Jack Sparrow.
On the other four nights of your cruise, dress will be cruise casual. No swimwear or tank tops are allowed in the main dining rooms on these evenings. If you plan to dine in Palo or Remy, there are more strict dress codes as well.
I hope this helps with your planning! Have a wonderful cruise on the Fantasy, the ship is amazing!
Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
