Can we have both lightning lane pass and lightning lane premier pass at the same time?

Welcome back to planDisney, Bill! Lightning Lanes have quickly become one of the most useful ways to make the most of your time at the Disneyland Resort. And with the introduction of the Premier Pass, Guests now have even more ways to zip past standby queues and get straight to the fun. Let’s take a closer look at how these two passes work together so you can plan your park day with confidence.

The short answer is yes, you can absolutely have both the Lightning Lane Premier Pass and the Lightning Lane Multi Pass during your visit. Here’s how they complement each other: the Premier Pass automatically tracks which attractions you’ve redeemed and which are still available. There’s no need to schedule return times in advance; simply check the Disneyland app when you’re ready for your next attraction. The Multi Pass, on the other hand, still requires Guests to make return time selections through the app, just like before. One key detail to keep in mind: whether you’re using the Premier Pass or the Multi Pass, each attraction can only be redeemed once per pass.

You’ll also notice that the Premier Pass doesn’t appear alongside your theme park admission tickets in the app. Instead, you’ll find it under “Today’s Plans.” There, the “My Day” feature serves as your central hub for using the Premier Pass. It displays the available Lightning Lane attractions and shows which ones you’ve already redeemed. When you’re ready to ride, head to the Lightning Lane entrance for your chosen attraction and scan your ticket to enter.

No matter which option you’re using for your Disney day, here’s my best Q-Tip: arrive early! Being among the first Guests in the park gives you an advantage when selecting return times and usually means you’ll enjoy shorter standby waits. It’s the perfect way to fit in an extra adventure on Indiana Jones Adventure or start your morning with a high-speed launch on Space Mountain before the park really gets going.

Bill, I hope this helps you feel ready to navigate your Lightning Lane options with ease. If any other questions come up, we at planDisney are always delighted to help you make the most of your Disneyland days.

Have an incredible day filled with magical moments!
