How much is the Lighting Multi Pass now in WDW? Do we have to pay per day per ride?

    Hiya Pal!

Thanks for visiting planDisney with a great question about the new Lightning Lane Multi Pass which is releasing July 24, 2024!  Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass will be available for purchase seven days before your check-in date if you're staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or other eligible hotel and three days before you visit the parks for all other Guests.  As a reminder, you will need to be in the United States to begin making your selections and purchasing your Lightning Lane passes via the My Disney Experience Mobile App.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass will have a variable pricing structure depending on the theme park and the dates you are visiting.  It will be one price for the entire day for all rides and attractions eligible for Lightning Lane Multi Pass and there is no limit to how many attractions you can enjoy, but additional attractions beyond your three advanced selections will be subject to availability.  Lightning Lane Single Pass is an à la carte purchase that is available for only a few of the most in-demand rides and attractions in each park.  You can purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day and those can be purchased with or without adding Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

When purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you will only be able to select one park and all of your pre-arrival selections must be from that theme park.  If you plan to take advantage of the Park Hopper Option that is included with the current 7-day and 14-day tickets available to UK Guests, you can make Lightning Lane selections for additional attractions from any of the theme parks (based on availability) after redeeming your first Lightning Lane entry.

Besides the new Lightning Lane passes, you may also be interested to know that Walt Disney World Resort currently offers a Virtual Queue for several attractions.  The Virtual Queue is FREE to join and you can request to join at 7:00 AM or 1:00 PM on the day of your theme park visit.  Virtual Queues tend to fill very quickly, so I encourage you to be in your My Disney Experience Mobile App and ready to join at those times.

I hope this information helps as you plan for your visit to Walt Disney World Resort and the new Lightning Lane passes!  If you have any other questions, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
