Can I use lightening lane multi pass and lightening lane premier at Disneyland pass back to back to ride the same attraction twice in a row in the lightening lane?

Welcome back to planDisney, Tamara! Lightning Lanes are a fantastic tool for making the most of your time at the Disneyland Resort, and with the new Premier Pass now available, there are even more ways to enjoy your favorite attractions with less time in standby lines. Since your question is about how these two options work together, let’s clear that up so you can plan with confidence.

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass functions as your personal ride planner. It allows you to reserve return times for participating attractions in both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Once your return time arrives, you simply head back and enter through the Lightning Lane. This option can be purchased in advance (either alongside your park ticket or as an add-on before your trip) or through the Disneyland app on the day of your visit.

The Premier Pass works a little differently. Instead of return time windows, it gives each Guest who purchases it one Lightning Lane entry for every attraction offering Lightning Lane access in a single park. That means you can enjoy both the attractions that normally fall under Multi Pass and those typically offered as Single Pass selections. It’s like having a checklist of Lightning Lane experiences waiting for you, without the need to book times in advance.

Now for the heart of your question: you can ride the same attraction twice in the Lightning Lane using both back-to-back (once with Multi Pass and once with Premier Pass) so long as you redeem the Multi Pass first and then hop right back in using Premier for your second go-round. The Disneyland app automatically prefers any scheduled Multi Pass return you’ve set; after you tap in and that return time is used, your next Lightning Lane tap on the same attraction will pull from your Premier Pass (assuming you haven’t used Premier for that attraction yet).

A couple of helpful tips to keep in mind: both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Premier Pass allow one Lightning Lane entry per attraction per day, so the maximum via Lightning Lane is two rides total on the same attraction: one with Multi Pass and one with Premier. After that, repeating the same attraction will require using the standby queue. Also keep an eye on the Tip Board in the Disneyland app so your Multi Pass windows line up neatly.

Tamara, I hope this clears things up and helps you feel ready to maximize both passes on your next visit. And of course, if more questions come up, please stop by planDisney anytime. We love helping guests discover all the ways to make their adventures magical.

    Wishing you many unforgettable moments,
    David
