Hey there, friend!
Welcome to planDisney. We're so glad you found our magical little corner of the internet ahead of your upcoming trip. It sounds like you're getting all those last little details finalized, and I'm happy to assist!
Lightning Lane Passes are available for purchase at each of the 4 parks at Walt Disney World Resort. They are not required to have a magical visit, but they can save you valuable time in the standby lines at popular attractions. I recently shared a
detailed overview with another guest here, if you'd like to familiarize yourself with the current pass options. Note that valid theme park admission is required to enter the parks, and tickets should be linked to your My Disney Experience account before attempting to purchase Lightning Lane Passes.
Once your booking window opens (7 days before check-in for
guests with eligible resort reservations and 3 days before the ticket start date for off-site guests), you'll be able to review pricing, eligible attractions, and arrival window availability at each park before finalizing your transaction.
Pricing varies from park to park and can fluctuate day to day depending on the season, but I took a quick peek at the details for your arrival day of May 21st. At present, Multi Pass starts at $16 per person at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park and ranges up to $32 per person at
Magic Kingdom Park. Single Pass selections also range between $13 per person and $24 per person that day, depending on the attraction selected. In my experience, pricing tends to be higher on weekends than on weekdays, so you could see a range of pricing depending on the length of your trip. Keep in mind that pricing is subject to change, and all experiences may not be available when your booking window opens.
When it's time to make your purchase, head to the home screen of the
My Disney Experience app and click "Purchase" under the Lightning Lane Multi Pass/Single Pass banner at the top of the screen. Next, select your date of visit from the calendar (each day must be purchased as a separate transaction), then choose your desired park. If you are interested in purchasing both Multi and Single Pass options at a specific park, you can complete that in a single transaction per day. Just know that the selections will apply to everyone you add to your "Who's Included?" group. If someone in your group decides to change plans after booking, you can
modify attraction selections and arrival windows, subject to availability.
I hope this helped! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back to planDisney and let us know. We're wishing you a magical vacation!
See ya' real soon!
