    Are there life jackets available on boat transportation for little ones? My family and I will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge and like to take advantage of the boat launches for transportation to the Magic Kingdom and would prefer to not lug my own.

    Hi Andrea!

    Disney's Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite places to stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!  Not only is it a beautiful resort, but it is also really close to Magic Kingdom Park!  We love to take advantage of the water transportation to and from Magic Kingdom Park because it is both fun and efficient.  I would estimate that the ride takes about ten minutes, but because I am always so busy looking at all of the beautiful scenery, the ride seems even faster to me!  

    There are life jackets available on board in case of emergencies, but guests are not required to wear them for the short rides to and from Magic Kingdom Park.  Both types of watercraft have railings and bench seating, so you and your little ones will be safe inside the boat.  

    If you still have concerns, you can discuss them with the Captain of the boat or a Cast Member when you arrive at the resort.  They will be happy to assist you!  Remember, if you are uncomfortable taking the water transportation, you can always use the Walt Disney World Bus Service!  

    While you are staying at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, make sure to check out Whispering Canyon Cafe.  It is one of my favorite restaurants throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort for both breakfast and dinner!
