Hi Shana!
Thanks for bringing this question to planDisney!
Anyone in your travel party who has standard
date-based theme park tickets will not need park reservations. They’ll be able to enter any park of their choice, pending park capacity. So, you won’t need to do anything extra for them!
As you already know, anyone without a date-based ticket (such as an
Annual Pass) will need
park reservations. I recommend making those as soon as you have an idea of what your itinerary will look like to ensure you’re able to reserve the parks you’re hoping for. You can always modify your park reservations (pending availability) if your plans change.
If your party has
park hopper tickets, the Annual Passholders will need to scan into the park they reserved first before hopping to the next park.
Remember, whether you need a park reservation or not (depending on your ticket type), entry into the parks is always based on park capacity. Although the parks don’t hit capacity often, it’s something to be aware of since it looks like you’ll be traveling during a popular time of year.
Ok...one more thing before I let you go! As you’re planning your trip, make sure your whole party is linked via the
Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account. That way, everyone can see shared plans, dining reservations, and Lightning Lanes.
If you have any other questions, feel free to come back and visit us. We’re always happy to help!
