    If we let our daughters pick out character magic bands when we arrive at our resort (from resort gift shop), can they help us link them to our account and then start using them right away?

    Hi there, Angie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and allowing us to help you plan your vacation to Walt Disney World Resort!

    MagicBands are a fun and practical way to celebrate your favorite Disney Characters and designs! Available options range from Disney Princesses to Marvel superheroes to Star Wars emblems. There really is something for every single Guest that visits Walt Disney World Resort! 

    MagicBands may be purchased online at the shopDisney website, prior to your arrival on your My Disney Experience account, or at stores across Walt Disney World Resort! If you are experiencing difficulties linking your children's new MagicBands, Cast Members will be more than happy to help you out. I can also give you a quick reference on how to do this as well!

    First, you will need to log into your My Disney Experience account. From there, you will locate the "Link Your Reservations and Purchases" web page. If you have difficulty with this, feel free to use the link I provided above! You will then have to input the number on the back of your children's new MagicBands. This number will allow you to associate your children's reservations and tickets with their new MagicBands. Once you've completed these steps, you can verify that each MagicBand was correctly linked by visiting the "My MagicBands & Cards" page on your My Disney Experience account.
