What is the length of the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail? Is it paved for a wheelchair?

Hi there, Cynthia! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for reaching out and allowing us to help you plan your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!

Being a lifelong animal lover, I always jump at the opportunity to observe and interact with any type of animal! Disney’s Animal Kingdom houses an enormous number of animals throughout the park. There are many different types of animal experiences offered at Disney’s Animal Kingdom but my two favorites would have to be the Maharajah Jungle Trek and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail. Both of these self-guided exploration trails allow Guests to view various Asian and African animal species in their natural habitats.

The Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail is filled with lush, tropical environments and the native African species that inhabit them. You can easily access this attraction as soon as you exit from Kilimanjaro Safaris in the Africa section of the park. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled and your cameras ready as you tour this amazing trail! You never know which animals you might be able to see!

You should be able to navigate through the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail in approximately 30 minutes. This trail is also completely accessible to wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Though I will warn you, there are a few spots that get a little bumpy so be prepared!

Have fun continuing to plan for your trip and be sure to let us know if we can help you with any other part of your planning process!
