Leaving for WDW in 22 days! Can't wait! I love this site and visit very often in planning for our trip. I have a couple of ?. A friend gave me refillable mugs, do they expire? Is it worth packing them? What's your opinion on Crocs?

    Carolyn,

We will be there at the same time you are, so I'm counting down right along with you!

The refillable mugs are for use only on the trip in which they were purchased.  There are signs up in the resort locations and on the mugs themselves stating this.  Unfortunately, the mugs from your friends don't qualify under this policy.  However, they are great to have and I still recommend you purchase some.  They save money on drinks at the resort, but they are also a great souvenir.  We still use ones we purchased 4 years ago!

Crocs.  Well, I love them.  I know they're not so stylish and I was a holdout on those grounds for many years, but once I caved and tried them I found there's no going back.  I wear them often at home and I think they are comfy and wonderful.  I've worn them once in WDW and by the end of the day I was in misery.

The same shoes that were so comfy at home rubbed the inside of my foot and gave me horrible blisters.  It's not uncommon for us to walk 12 miles/day in Disney, so I guess that's too much of a burden for the Crocs to carry.  I know many people swear by them for the parks, and I can see why they'd have their merits, but unfortunately they did not work at all for me.  I'm much more comfortable sticking with tennis shoes.

    Have a fantastic vacation!
