We are leaving this Sat on Disney Fantasy. My husband is thinking he will drop us off at the port, return to the hotel to park and then take a cab to the port.We have a 10:30 check in time. What is the earliest he can drop us at the port? Thanks.

Welcome aboard, Paulette! You must be so thrilled to be setting sail on the Disney Fantasy in just a couple of days!

The Disney Cruise Line terminal at Port Canaveral opens at 10:30, so feel free to head over there just before that. Depending on what hotel you're enjoying the night before, you might find that they offer complimentary shuttle service to and from the port. Many of the hotels in Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach do offer this for cruise guests, so you can all head over together. It's worth checking with your hotel as that would save your husband quite a bit of effort! Even if you're not able to arrive with shuttle service until after 10:30, it's okay.

Keep in mind that your 10:30 time is actually your port arrival time. Once you arrive, you'll still need to go through security, wait in line to check-in and then enjoy some time relaxing in the terminal before boarding begins. While technically they say boarding begins at 1:00, more often than not if the ship is ready, boarding will begin earlier, even around 11:30 I've experienced. Port Arrival times are not super strict, so if you arrive an hour later than your assigned arrival time, it's perfectly fine. Plus, if you can do that by letting the hotel drive you, it's worth it in my book! It may also mean less time sitting around in the terminal waiting to board. Though boarding may begin early, you will need to wait until your boarding number is called, which could take another five minutes or another hour, depending on what boarding number you're assigned, so really, no need to rush to the port.

I hope those details help as you get ready to head out to sea on the beautiful Disney Fantasy, Paulette! Happy sailing!
