We are leaving for the 4 night Bahama trip on July 7th. We wanted to book a dinner at Palo but didn't want to miss any of the special dining events and are celebrating both of our children's birthdays on July 10. Any suggestions on how to fit Palo in?

Welcome aboard, Gina! Congratulations on your upcoming Disney cruise aboard the Dream! It's sure to be a wonderful four nights onboard that magical ship!

Though schedules are always subject to change, you should most likely find the following dining attire rotation on the July 7th Dream sailing:

    Night 1: Cruise Casual
Night 2: Dress Up Night (formal or semi-formal)
    Night 3: Pirate Night
    Night 4: Cruise Casual

Based on that schedule, I'd suggest booking your Palo reservations for either the first or last night. You'll dine in the same restaurant on Night 1 and 4, so you won't miss out on eating in one of the three restaurants on your rotation. If it were me, I'd probably go for Night 4. I say this because if you are assigned Animator's Palate on your first night, (meaning you'd eat there night 4 too), the first night is the "show" night there, and that is certainly something you don't want to miss! You may be assigned a different restaurant to begin with, and then it wouldn't matter, but dining at Palo night 4 would be a good bet either way, Gina.

Don't forget to give Disney Cruise Line a call and let them know you'll be celebrating your children's birthdays while onboard. I can't promise specifics, but Cast Members do hear about who is celebrating and love to go out of their way to provide some magical extras for those guests. Your kids just might get a special birthday song at dinner one night or card in your stateroom.

Have fun as you continue to plan. With one month until you set sail, you must be getting very excited! I'm happy to help with any other questions that you might have, Gina!
