Three Generations Aboard Ship; fireworks; night

    We're leaving for our first Disney cruise on 4/6/13, and we've heard of the sail away party. Where's the best place to be for this? Also, for the Pirate party where's the best place to be? Is there a great place to see the fireworks?

    Ahoy Christine!
    I'm also looking forward to an April 6th sail away so I may just see you aboard!  The sail away deck party is a lot of fun and the perfect way to kick off your cruise vacation!  The cruise staff and characters will all be there so if you want an up close view be sure to arrive right after the Muster drill to claim your spot in front of the deck stage on Deck 11.  Another good spot to see all the action is along the railing on Deck 12 overlooking the deck stage.  The Funnelvision screen will show all the festivities as well.  Once the party is over, you will want to head up to Deck 12 and stand along the railing along the Starboard side of the ship (right hand side when facing the front of the vessel).   Many spectators come out to see the Disney ships sail away so there will be plenty to wave bon voyage to on the way out to sea!
    When you arrive at the Pirate Celebration, you can also claim your spot front and center on Deck 11 in front of the deck stage or up on Deck 12 along the railing.  Again, all the fun will be displayed on the Funnelvision.  The Buccaneer Blast Fireworks Spectacular will occur a little later in the evening, and my favorite spot to be is on Deck 12 Starboard along the railing overlooking the deck stage.
