We are leaving for our first Disney Cruise on the Dream in 16 days and I'm bring my almost 3 year old. What are your thoughts and experiences with bringing a stroller? Will we need it? I will also have three other adults and a 5, 8, and 10 year old with us

Welcome aboard, Hilary! With only a couple of weeks left until you set sail, I can only imagine that the entire family is getting very excited to head out to sea with Captain Mickey and his crew!

With a little one in your family, I highly recommend bringing an umbrella stroller. It folds flat and will store very easily under the bed in your stateroom. Though the Disney Cruise Line staterooms are very spacious when compared to other cruise lines' staterooms, you'll still find yourself in quarters much tighter than what you'd have at home, so a large stroller would not be ideal to have to store in the stateroom.

If you find that there is a time onboard or in port that you'd prefer a more substantial stroller, Disney does offer a limited amount of full size strollers for guests to borrow onboard at Guest Services. The last time I sailed, they were offering Peg Perego strollers. They are free of charge and on a first come, first served basis. But, you will need to put down a refundable deposit (as a charge on your stateroom account).

Honestly, the ship is laid out so well that you probably won't need the stroller at all very often, but bringing an easy umbrella stroller is not a bad idea so that you have it should you need it in port. Or, stop by Guest Services early on to borrow one of theirs. Also, you'll find plenty of strollers to borrow near the Scuttle's Cove and Pelican Plunge tram stops at Castaway Cay, as well as wagons, which are really handy for hauling the kids and all their gear!

I hope those details help, Hilary! Have an amazing cruise!
