Leaving on the Fantasy on 7/6 for a 7 night Western Caribbean cruise. I know there is a formal night - does DH need to pack a sport coat for this? We're trying to fly with only carry-on luggage and would love to save space by not packing one! Thanks!

Hi Kathleen, welcome aboard! There is a Formal night on your cruise, as well as a Semi-Formal night. Both are wonderful opportunities to get dolled up, have some special photos taken and make some wonderful memories. Even the Disney characters wear their formal best on those nights, which certainly makes for fun photo opportunities!

My husband always brings a sports or suit coat with him for those two nights. If you can find space in your luggage for the coat, I would say bring it! Disney does recommend a jacket or suit for men on formal night, however not all men always have one. Most men wear suits, but you'll also see some in tuxedos. Take a look at the Onboard Dining Attire page for more details.

Just a hint too, if you plan on traveling with only carry-on luggage, pack an empty collapsible suitcase or duffle bag in there too. If you're like us, we always come back with more than we brought onboard! You may find you'll need to check at least one bag on the way home!

If you plan on dining at Remy onboard, a sports coat is required there, so keep that in mind. Palo requires a dress shirt or jacket. I hope that helps as you continue to plan, Kathleen!

Please stop back with any further questions you might have! You've got only a few more weeks until you set sail! How exciting!
