Leaving Epcot around 4:00 on Sun. 1/27. Should we (3 adults, 6 yr, 4 yr) head over to Boardwalk or DD? We have never been to Boardwalk but have been to DD twice. Want try Boardwalk but concerned not much will be going on a Sun afternoon in the winter. Idea

Hey there Kerri! I would love to assist a fellow Georgian! Congratulations on your upcoming Walt DIsney World vacation!  This is a great question, but a challenging one as well! I personally love both Disney's Boardwalk and Downtown Disney for different reasons. The great thing about visiting Disney's Boardwalk is that you could actually walk there via the International Gateway from Epcot which only takes approximately 10-15 minutes. At Disney's Boardwalk, my family loves watching the street performers, playing midway games, renting a surrey bike to ride around Crescent Lake, and enjoying a delicious meal. With that being said, if you are looking for a location that you can spend the entire evening at, then I would recommend Downtown Disney. We usually stay at DIsney's Boardwalk for approximately 2-3 hours; whereas, we could spend half a day or more at Downtown Disney. I have visited Disney's Boardwalk during both the winter and summer months and the street performers have always been out in the evening entertaining guests. There are great dining options at Disney's Boardwalk, as well as, the other Epcot Area Resorts. My family loves visiting Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort, which does not accept Advanced Dining Reservations.Based on my own personal experience, I do think you will see the Boardwalk "come alive" closer to dusk, but a surrey bike ride would be a fun adventure to experience when you first arrive. If it were me, I would take into consideration your plans for dinner. If you think the dining options interest you more at Downtown Disney, then I would recommend that and vice versa. If you will have access to a car during your trip, you could always head over to Disney's Boardwalk first and then end your evening at Downtown Disney! I hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to write me back if you have any other specific questions that may make your decision a little easier. I would love to assist you in planning a magical trip!
    Happy Planning,
