WE are leaving on the Disney Wonder on October 6th - I am just seeing all the Halloween activities and am a little nervous - my kids scare easily (like silly easy) and I'm not sure what to do! Will it be younger kids friendly or at least avoidable?

    Welcome aboard, Michele!

I completely understand little ones who get scared easily. When my daughter was little, she did not like seeing characters in costumes at all. She quickly began to realize that they were fun, but there were a couple of years there that were rough!

Don't worry too much because you'll get a Personal Navigator each day of your cruise that will list all of the events and activities and their locations for the day, including the special Halloween on the High Seas events. I hope you're able to pop in at the beginning of each to determine if your kids might enjoy them, because they really are a whole lot of fun! Mickey's Mouse-querade Party is a blast, and was created with kids in mind. It's not-so-scary Halloween fun, with the Disney characters in their own Halloween costumes. There will be trick-or-treating, songs, games and lots of excitement, so I hope you're able to make it. If it seems a bit too much for your kids, don't worry. Just head elsewhere on the ship at that time. You can read a bit more about some of the other Halloween-themed activities, but just know that you'll have the schedule and location listing on the Personal Navigator, so if you want to avoid those spots during certain spooky times, you can absolutely do so.

The whole ship will be decorated for Halloween, so that's a nice introduction to the friendly and fun side of the festivities for your family. I think they'll like the Pumpkin Tree in the atrium of the ship - something brand new for Halloween on the Wonder this year! Just remember that Disney Cruise Line knows how to cater to families of all ages, and that includes the littlest cruisers, so nothing that they will see will be created too scary for them. And when in doubt, ask a Cast Member onboard! They can give you specifics on each event and what to expect so you can more easily determine if it's right for your kiddos or not.

I hope you have a magical time next week! Enjoy every moment, Michele!
