Hi there, Meghan! Just like Peter Pan, we're all anticipating being able to fly over Walt Disney World Resort soon!
The Disney Skyliner will connect Disney's Hollywood Studios and Epcot to four resort hotels: Disney's Art of Animation Resort, Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and the soon to open, Disney's Riviera Resort. The official word from executives is that this state of the art transportation system will start serving its first Guests on September 29. I haven't heard any grumbling or rumors that it will open early or if they will be giving test runs, but I've said this same thing before with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge (insert foot in mouth). At the very least, this is the perfect reason to plan another visit! While I was there this summer, I spied the Moana cabin I want to ride in- it calls me! Stay tuned to the
Disney Parks Blog for updates before your arrival.
However, there are some great new things you can definitely experience during your trip.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in 18 days (who's counting), and reservations just opened this week for
Oga's Cantina, the
Droid Depot, and
Savi's Workshop. If you have any young Padawans in your family, this is the place to be. And fall means there's spooktacular fun to be had at
Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. An all-new fireworks show is set to debut during the party called
Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular.
An oldie but goodie is the
Epcot International Food & Wine Festival, which is returning for its 25th season. There's fun for the whole family here including
Remy's Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt.
I hope you have a magical vacation this fall, Meghan!
