Leaving in 3 days! We are staying outside of the "World" at a condo. What is the best way to visit the Boardwalk? And how / where do we park? I hope you do not have to be a resort guest to visit there.

You do not need to be staying at a WDW to visit the Boardwalk area at Disney World. All you need to do is drive to the Boardwalk Inn. Tell the guard at the gate that you will be visiting the restaurants and entertainment area and he or she will give you instructions on where best to park. There is also valet parking available at the Boardwalk (for a fee). A second alternative is to spend your day at Epcot and then exit the park at the International Gateway, located between the England and France pavilions in the World Showcase area. The Boardwalk is a five minute walk away from the Gateway. Similarly, the Boardwalk is a 15 minute walk from Disney's Hollywood Studios.

The Boardwalk area is most fun at night. While most of the restaurants are open for lunch, they really come alive at dinner. Jellyrolls and Atlantic Dance are fun for adults and the strolling performers on the Boardwalk are magical for kids. I spent a lovely evening on the Boardwalk in July with two of my daughters. We got ice cream cones and watched a magician -- it was the perfect way to end the day.
