    Leaving in 12 days!!! ADR booked Dec 8 at 7:00 pm at Whispering Canyon- how long is the boat ride from MK and what time should we leave the park at? Also, what time should we catch boat on way back to see the fireworks while on the boat?

    The countdown is on Linda! How exciting your vacation is almost here! The boat ride from the Magic Kingdom to the Wilderness Lodge takes about half an hour. I would leave the Magic Kingdom at 6 pm at the latest to be sure to give yourself enough time. Whispering Canyon Cafe is one of our favourite spots, and we visit it every Disney vacation. On December 8, Wishes, the fireworks extravaganza at the Magic Kingdom, takes place at 8 pm. For us, dinner usually takes on the average of an hour, so I'm not sure you'll have time to make it back. If you wanted to see the fireworks from the boat, I would be at the dock by 7:45. There are also Extra Magic Hours that evening, so guests at Disney resorts can enjoy the Magic Kingdom until 1:00 am.
