Kristin, welcome aboard! What a wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season, by setting sail on the Disney Dream for a Very Merrytime Cruise! My family and I just returned from our cruise on the Disney Dream and had such fun enjoying the Very Merrytime activities. Just wait until you see the beautiful decorations, gorgeous tree, and smell the amazing aroma of the huge gingerbread house in the atrium. Boy are you in for a magical vacation! Don't miss the Tree Lighting Ceremony on your first night! Also, the newest celebration at sea this year is Santa's Winter Wonderland Ball later that same night in the atrium. The big guy in the red suit arrives (with some Disney friends) and it even snows in the atrium! Wow! We were amazed!
Disney Cruise Line offers wifi services throughout the ship for an additional fee. Guests are charged for data usage, not minutes. Check out the pricing information and details on the
Internet and Phone Services page of Disney Cruise Line's website. Just keep in mind that that information is always subject to change slightly, so be sure to check your stateroom once you arrive where you'll find the most up to date info on wifi usage for your particular sailing. You can stop by Guest Services to purchase packages of data.
I have to say that it is pretty amazing that even in the middle of the sea you can access the internet! However, my family really enjoys this rare occasion to unplug. When else can you turn off those internet devices and truly live in the moment? It's the ride back to the airport after our cruise when we bombard our friends back home with photos from our trip! So, you might consider that too. But, if you do choose to connect at sea, know that Disney makes it easy for you.
Have fun planning and enjoy your trip, Kristin!
