Hi Moms! We leave for WDW next sunday, very excited but also stressed out about spending money. Staying at POP, have MYW plus dining, traveling with my mom and my 9 year old daughter, is $50 a day a reasonable amount to bring for tips and souvenirs?

    Hi Rachel!

Congratulations on your upcoming trip to Walt Disney World!

A friend of mine does something really cool to budget for her Disney vacations. Prior to vacation she will buy Disney Gift Cards in small increments each week. She'll spend $10 one week, $20 another and maybe only $5 another. But over time they all add up, so when she visits Disney World she already has money saved up for all of her souviners and she can eat, shop and play without worry!

You can use Disney gift cards at the resorts, shops and restaurants.

With that being said, you can budget for $50 a day. In regards to gratuity, it really depends upon how many Table Service experiences you have and the total cost of them. If you try to limit your Table Service meals you can cut down on that greatly. Additionally, I tell my kids that they can choose one souvenir for the length of the trip. I usually tell them to wait until the last day of vacation to select their souvenir so they don't change their mind. That helps cut down on the buying toys here and there.

    Magically,
    Stacy
