We leave next week on our 1st Disney Cruise and while on board my son will celebrate his b-day. Do I need to order a cake or will they do something special since I told them about it? Thanks!

    Ahoy Theresa!
With just a few days left to go, I'm sure your crew is about to burst with excitement! Celebrating a special occasion onboard will make for an extra magical sailing for your family I was fortunate enough to celebrate my last birthday at sea, and it was definitely extra special!  Since you have noted your son's birthday on your cruise reservation, a birthday dessert will be presented at dinner on his special day.  Cakes are available for purchase as long as it is ordered at least seven days prior to sailing so there is still time if you are interested.  The order form is located in the Gifts and Amenities Section on the Disney Cruise Line website.  Another extra Disney Cruise Line offers is a festive Celebration Package which includes adorable Disney themed birthday decor.  This also needs to be pre-purchased through the Gifts and Amenities Section
You will also want to stop by Guest Services upon boarding to pick up a Birthday Pin for the birthday boy!  I would encourage him to wear it throughout your sailing so the crew and Guests can celebrate with him.
Thanks so much for stopping by with your question, Theresa!  Best wishes for a wondrous sailing and magical birthday for your son!
