Welcome aboard, Kristin! Hooray for your first Disney cruise! Besides all the regular travel essentials, here are my top ten items we always bring with us when we sail with Disney!
1. Mobile Device with
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App downloaded. Besides the wonderful schedule of activities and maps of the ship, it also includes a texting feature that you can use to keep in touch with others in your party while onboard. It's free to use this app on the DCL-GUEST WiFi network. (Other internet use on that WiFi network carries a package cost.)
2. Pirate Attire for
Pirate Night: Everyone receives a Mickey's Pirates IN the Caribbean Deck Party bandana, but most guests will don even more swashbuckling gear for fun that night!
3. Magnetic Door Decor. All the doors look the same in those long hallways, so print personalized Disney designs at home on cardstock. Laminate, adhere magnets, then let your daughter go wild decorating your stateroom door.
4. Autograph books or a blank photo mat for characters to sign!
5. Travel mugs: Fill 'em up at the 24-hour beverage station. Let your daughter make Coke floats with soft serve and Coke to take to the Broadway-style shows!
6. Large trash bags or a pop-up hamper: Keep the dirty clothes contained in your closet!
7. Light jacket or sweater: Yes, it's the Bahamas and Caribbean, but it gets chilly and breezy on deck at night!
8. Lanyards: Keep your Key To The World Card handy. Grab Disney ones at the Disney Store!
9. Disney Trading Pins: Purchase Disneystore.com or Ebay to put on your lanyard. Your daughter will love getting to trade with Cast Members!
10. Your camera! So many magical memories to capture!
Happy cruising, Kristin!
