Will the "Leave A Legacy" wall still be in EPCOT in 2026? I heard online that Disney might get rid of it in 2026. I was planning to track down my family's pictures during my trip which just got postponed until 2026.

Hi Sarah! Welcome to planDisney, and thanks so much for stopping by with your question!

I love that you’re planning to track down your family’s Leave a Legacy tile on your next visit to EPCOT. I remember seeing the original monoliths at the base of Spaceship Earth while on my honeymoon during the Millenium Celebration, and it really felt like a special way to be part of the magic.

The granite monoliths were removed in 2019 as part of EPCOT’s entrance redesign (wait until you see the new fountain!). But don’t worry, as Disney preserved all the photo tiles and gave them a colorful new home! They’re now displayed on sleek panel walls just outside the park entrance, one on each side of the main gates. After you go through security, the displays will be located to the right and left, prior to scanning your ticket or MagicBand.

As of now, Disney hasn’t made any official announcements about removing the Leave a Legacy tiles, and according to a Cast Member I spoke with today, there are no plans to take them down anytime soon. The tiles were originally promised to remain on Disney property for at least 20 years from the last sale in 2007, so they’re expected to stay up through at least 2027.

When you’re ready to find your family’s tile, there’s a helpful QR code right on the display. Just scan it with your phone to use the Tile Finder search feature, which will give you the exact location of your tile. If you prefer to plan ahead, you can also search for it from home online (here's a tip: try a different browser if the page doesn’t load properly on your computer).

By the time your 2026 trip rolls around, I bet you’ll be amazed by how much EPCOT has changed! The park has been completely reimagined with new neighborhoods like World Celebration and World Nature, plus incredible new experiences like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Journey of Water Inspired by Moana, and the nighttime show Luminous: The Symphony of Us. It still has that nostalgic EPCOT feel, just with a fresh twist.

I hope you have a fantastic time tracking down your family’s piece of Disney magic, Sarah. If you need anything else while planning, we’re always here to help. See ya real soon!
