Can you leave large luggage at the park (Walt Disney World), it you're not staying at a Walt Disney resort? We will be coming from another hotel, with time to spare for a day, but would need to leave our large luggage and carry on luggage for 3 adults.

Hi Charlene, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I'm excited to hear that you'll be enjoying all the Mickey-shaped snacks in just a few days. Let’s figure out where to store your luggage so you can have a magical day at Disney World!

There are large lockers you can rent inside the theme parks and water parks. And at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, some lockers are even as large as 17” x 22” x 26”. However, bags larger than 24" x 15" x 18" aren't allowed in the theme parks and water parks. So be sure to measure your luggage to see if they'll be permitted inside the parks. If your bags are small enough, and you decide to use the lockers, I’d recommend getting to the park as early as possible since they’re first come first serve and there’s a limited number of the large lockers.

If your luggage is too big to bring into the parks, here are some other options. I know that Bell Services at Disney Resort hotels can store overnight guests’ luggage after they check out, so you may want to call your hotel and see if that’s something they can do for you.

Another idea is to use a luggage storage company. Although Disney doesn’t offer this service, there are many of these companies in the Orlando area and it’ll likely be cheaper than renting multiple lockers at the parks. One of my friends used a luggage storage service at the Orlando airport and said it was convenient and affordable! You might be able to find one that isn't too out of the way from where you're going.

Finally, you might also look into renting a car. One time when I was staying offsite and planned to head to the airport after the parks, I did a one-way car rental, picking up at a place near my hotel and dropping off at the airport. This way I was able to leave my luggage in the car while I was in the parks and avoided paying for multiple rideshare service rides.

I hope this helps you decide where to store your luggage during your visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth next week! If you have any other questions, we’d love to have you back at planDisney.
